WEYMOUTH HIGH SCHOOL: 2
In an extremely hot Weymouth gym, the Rebels had to battle the opponent and unfavorable conditions as a team to pull off a 3-2 win against the Wildcats. Walpole had to work hard to earn their points against the scrappy Weymouth defense. Walpole's offense had to get creative and strategic in order to get the points. Defense needed to read the opponent and keep moving to be ready for less predictable plays from Weymouth's offense. Sophomores Molly Whelan and Mei Totten had an opportunity to contribute on the court. Junior Rachel Smith played outside hitter and was prepared to cover on defense. Strong performances were noted from Abby Rae, Sawyer King, Wynter Conlon, and McKenzie Rae. The whole team was awarded Players of the Match for pulling together and achieving the win.
